Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a form of rehabilitation that works with people of all ages to improve their health and well-being. Physical Therapists help clients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and neurological problems, balance disorders, osteoporosis, fitness and prevention. They take a personal and direct approach to meeting an individual's health needs and goals such as pain relief, regaining movement, restoring strength and function, promoting healing, correcting deformities, and adapting to permanent changes. Physical therapists use modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation as well as exercise and education to meet their clients needs.

Physical therapists evaluate and assess patients recovering from injury, surgery or disease. They then implement programs to relieve pain, teach the use of artificial limbs and assistive devices, restore function, normalize motion, and help in the recovery process. By designing individualized exercise programs, physical therapy promotes optimal physical performance and overall fitness, muscular strength and endurance.
