COMPUTED
TOMOGRAPHY (CT SCAN)
A computed tomography (CT) scan is a relativity simple, safe and painless examination. The
scan produces a series of images and can detect many conditions that do not
show up on conventional x-rays.
Who performs the test?
I. Radiology Technologist:
A) Who works closely with the radiologist and other
physicians.
B) Has done extensive training in the use of x-ray
equipment and the care
and safety of patients.
C) Has completed two to four years in a college program
of radiologic
technology and is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists.
Who reads the exam?

renal, extremities, etc. Ultrasound studies are scheduled during specific appointments
daily and also are covered by call-back situations after business hours. After
the initial technologist evaluations,
these studies are interpreted by our radiologist from Consulting Radiology.
Our imaging department is a clinical site for Argosy University located in Eagan, Minnesota. Students come to our Imaging Services Department to receive15 weeks of training. These students already have an X-Ray operators license and are then able to help out with patients after they have tested out on the procedure.
